The importance of the Islamic Forum for Halal Accreditation Bodies lies in contributing to the implementation of a clear and transparent system for halal products and services in accordance with Sharia guidelines and technical requirements, aligning with global practices. It also aims to complete the quality infrastructure in OIC member countries, through integration with the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC) and establishing a mechanism for the continuous development of this forum. This will be achieved by studying the best practices among member states and the relevant committees.

This forum will work to ensure the representation of all stakeholders (accreditation bodies, conformity assessment bodies, legislators, consumers, and others). Additionally, it will open new economic opportunities that enhance intra-trade, as well as create new job opportunities globally in specialized fields that offer conditions for innovation and knowledge development.
